I hate that they both call each other “babe” so much in that first panel, but I know what I was going for by doing it. I wanted it to seem like it (their back and forth banter) was a forced routine. Maybe these two don’t feel the same as they used to about each other. Maybe it’s one-sided. Body language tells everything, so in that dialogue, the word “babe” is all they have left. And they’re killing it.
