Yep, they review Scooby’s too.
Comics Bulletin has weighed in on Scooby-Doo #128…and they loved it! Check it out! Thanks to Ray Tate and Comics Bulletin!

And, if you FF to 19:54, you can hear one of the first podcast reviews!
So…what did YOU think?
The first official review of Before They Were Famous: Babe Ruth is in the books. Jimmy Aquino and Joe Gonzalez of Comic News Insider call BTWF one of their Top 3 of the Week (to be clear, it was one of Jimmy’s Top 3, but I’m sure Joe will read it and love it). Click the image above to be taken to the podcast. Thanks to Jimmy and Joe for the review and subscribe to their podcast already!
Johanna Draper Carlson, of Comics Worth Reading, gave FCHS an honest review. Here’s an excerpt:
The dialogue can be raw, and the situations more mature than the Archie comics which may have been part of the inspiration. (It also reminds me of a modern-day Dazed and Confused.)
Click the FCHS image above to read the rest of her review. It’s very honest, and I appreciate Johanna’s candor and hope we can win her over with the OGN. Thanks Johanna!
Bob Bretall over at the Weekly Comics Spotlight had this to say:
(3/5) Not really my cup of tea, but I doubt I’m the target demographic for this series. A decent story following the exploits of a bunch of High School teens moving from their junior to senior year (FCHS is Forest City High School).
My favorite so far comes from Rod Lott from Bookgasm:
On the surface, it reads like a seriocomic version of ARCHIE, and one when where they engage in heavy petting.
If you see more, feel free to send them my way!
Not to be all, “Ooh, look how cool I am,” but I came across some links that I thought would be fun to share.
First, I was at the Bronx Kids Con a few weeks ago, and the guys from Secret Identity grabbed me for a few minutes to talk to me about FCHS. Listen to the whole show, but I come on around the 41:04 mark.
Next, I found these cool pics from FCBD on a random Flickr account:

Looks like these folks (who went to Forbidden Planet NY) grabbed a copy of FCHS. To me, this is so crazy because I kind of forgot that places other than Jim Hanley’s Universe had the book. By the way, JHU has a limited amount of copies left, so trek on over to 33rd Street and Fifth Avenue and ignore the construction going on in the front of the building.
Finally, I was invited and subsequently attended the 200th Episode of Comic News Insider. Listen to me mumble incoherently while absolutely sober! Guests include Chemistry Set alum, Kevin Colden and his lovely wife, Miss Lasko-Gross, John Cassaday and Michael Emerson, aka Ben Linus from Lost. It was a great time and I want to thank Jimmy and Joe for having me on.
That’s all. Go buy some comics!
